The Cambridge Youth Council (CYC) worked on a Community Mural in collaboration with the lead artist Jack O’hearn, and teens at the Community Art Center (CAC). The goal of the mural was to focus on the importance of different cultures that aren’t always included in the Cambridge and CRLS community and highlight the value of diversity, with people from various backgrounds coming together, appreciating one another’s company and enjoying the moment. The artist and CAC teens incorporated aspects of peoples cultures into the illustration to bring them alive within the mural. Each panel depicts a different location in Cambridge where community members spend time, showing a personal side to the city that is often left out.
